A coronavirus infected woman, who fled from Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital on Thursday night, has been located at her husband's house in Sylhet Sadar upazila.
The patient was taken to the isolation unit of Shaheed Shamsuddin Ahmed Hospital around 12pm on Friday , confirmed Sylhet Civil Surgeon Dr Premanando Mondol.
The woman was admitted to the Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital on Wednesday where she had suffered a still birth, said Faruk Ahmed, in-charge of the police outpost at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.
After the delivery, the woman started showing symptoms of Covid-19, which prompted the doctors to collect samples and run a test.
"On Thursday night, her reports came back positive for Covid-19, but the woman left the hospital without informing doctors," the police official added.
