PRAN-RFL Group has started distributing dry food items among 40,000 families in more than 20 districts, including the capital.
The business conglomerate has continued its food support to helpless and poor people affected by the lockdown due to coronavirus outbreak in the country.
The food items include flattened rice, puffed rice, noodles, cake, biscuit, toast, milk and juice.
Local public representatives and administration are helping in distributing the products.
Kamruzzaman Kamal, marketing director at PRAN-RFL group, said they initially distributed food among several thousand families in various points of Dhaka, Gazipur, Narsingdi, Habiganj, Rajshahi, Natore, Dinajpur and Rangpur at the beginning of this month.
They are now thinking of adding more districts to their relief operations.
"The initiative was launched as many people are struggling to manage food for their family members during this shutdown," he said.
