4 more with Covid-19 symptoms die

At least four people died with symptoms similar to those of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) in four districts from Sunday night to Monday.

In Chapainawabganj, a 14 year old boy suffering from fever and diarrhoea breathed his last in Uttar Bagharpara village in Shibganj upazila on Sunday night.

Confirming the matter, Civil surgeon Dr Jahid Chowdhury said: "We have collected samples for coronavirus test."

In Rangamati, a 55-year-old man suffering from fever, cough and cold died at the isolation unit of Rangamati General Hospital early Monday

The man was admitted to the unit on Sunday morning and died around 3am on Monday, confirmed Dr Mostafa Kamal, of Rangamati Civil Surgeon Office.

In Savar, a 52-year-old man suffering from respiratory problems died in Hemayetpur area early Monday.

Savar upazila Health  and Family Planning officer Sayemul Huda said authorities locked down the deceased's house.

In Narail, A woman suffering from fever and breathing complications died at Shalnagar of Lohagara upazila on Sunday night. 

Civil Surgeon Dr Abdul Momen said samples of the deceased have been collected for coronavirus test and her family members have been asked to stay in home quarantine. 

Besides, local administration put six neighbouring houses under lockdown.
