Four Italy returnees, who were quarantined at Meghdubi 20-bed Hospital in Gazipur's Pubail, have been sent to Dhaka for further medical tests.
They were sent to Kuwait-Bangladesh Friendship Government Hospital located in Uttara early Tuesday as their body temperature increased more than normal, Executive Magistrate Wasiuzzaman Chowdhury confirmed.
Earlier on Sunday, four others were also sent to the same hospital from the Gazipur hospital for the same reason.
On March 14, the authorities sent 48 Bangladeshis, who returned from Italy, which recorded the highest number of coronavirus cases in Europe, to quarantine in Gazipur.
