Two women have been admitted to the burn unit at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) in separate incidents in two districts.
In Bogra, a woman sustained severe burns while trying to get warm from fire at her house in Dhunat upazila on Wednesday evening.
The victim, Mosammat Rasheda Begum, 26, a resident of Chhaitani village in Dhunat, was admitted to the DMCH burn unit on Friday evening.
According to the doctors, her condition is critical since 60% of her body was affected by burns.
DMCH police outpost in-charge Inspector Bachchu Mia confirmed the matter.
Her aunt, Hafiza Khatun informed that Rasheda recently gave birth to her third child.

She said: "Rasheda left her newborn on the bed to seek warmth from fire after Maghrib prayers on Wednesday. She did not notice that her clothes caught fire. When she did, she started running frantically as family members tried to douse the fire. However, she had already sustained severe burns all over her body."
Rasheda was rushed a local hospital but as her condition deteriorated, she was shifted the DMCH later, Hafiza added.
In Munshiganj, an elderly woman was burnt at her house in Sirajdikhan upazila on Friday afternoon.
The victim is Rina Begum, 65, a resident of Madhupur village.
Inspector Bachchu Mia said the victim was admitted to the burn unit on Friday night.
"She is in a critical state as her body sustained 76% burns," he said quoting physician.
Her daughter, Sabrina Begum said: "My mother was in the kitchen when her clothes caught fire and people nearby came to her rescue. Since I was outside, I cannot confirm whether she was cooking or seeking warmth when the incident took place."
Rina was rushed to a local hospital before being shifted to DMCH as her condition deteriorated, she added.
