The rail communications of Mymensingh with Dhaka and Chittagong have been restored after four hours of disruption following derailment of a bogie of a train in Bhairab upazila of Kishoreganj.
Ferdous Ahmed, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bhairab railway police station, said the rail communications on the route resumed around 4:30pm on Thursday, reports UNB.
AKM Quamruzzaman, station master of Bhairab railway station, said a wheel of Chittagong-bound Nasirabad Express train veered off the tracks around 1pm when it was crossing Jagannathpur area, snapping rail communications of Mymensingh with Dhaka and Chittagong.
A relief train from Akhaura reached the spot and restored the communications.
