Train communications on Dhaka-Mymensingh route resumes after 7hrs

Train communications between Dhaka and Mymensingh have resumed after seven hours of suspension, following a derailment of five bogies of Mohonganj Express.

The communication was restored around 7am on Friday, reports UNB.

Mymensingh Government Railway Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mosharraf Hossain said: "Five bogies of Dhaka-bound Mohonganj Express veered off the tracks near Fatema Nagar under Trishal upazila around 9:30 pm on Thursday."

"As a result, Mymensingh-bound Ekata Express got stuck, causing immense sufferings to the commuters," he added.

This incident halted train movement, leading a temporary suspension of rail services on that route.
