Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a man over allegations of raping a mother of two from Bakshiganj, Jamalpur on Sunday.
According to the case statements, the detained, Jaman, 25, raped the woman by threatening to kill her children with a knife. Later a case was filed by the woman under Women and Children Repression Prevention Act at Bakshiganj police station on Saturday.
In a press briefing, RAB Jamalpur camp Company Commander Tofayel Ahmed said: “Acting on the case, we made several drives in the area, and arrested Jaman from a Charkauria rice mill, late Saturday night. He confessed to his crime. We will transfer Jaman to Bakshiganj police station soon.”
