Police found the bullet-riddled body of Mohon Sheikh, 55, on early Tuesday.
He had at least 10 cases filed against him at the Sadar police station, as well as at other stations, police claimed.
Quoting locals, Sirajganj Sadar police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Dawood said: “Mohan got out of prison a month ago, and immediately became involved in drug trading again. He was engaged in a conflict with fellow associates regarding the business.
“He was killed in a gunfight among rival associates. Locals found Mohan’s body near the railway station and informed us.”
He said law enforcement has sent the body to Sirajganj 250-Bed Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib General Hospital.
