Four to walk gallows for gang rape in Lakshmipur

A Lakshmipur court has sentenced four people to death in a gang rape case. The death convicts are Sanaullah, 37, Abul Kashem Majhi, 32, Harun, 32 and Md Rahim, 27. District and Session Judge Dr AKM Abul Kasem Chowdhury passed the order on Wednesday afternoon. The court also fined themTk20,000 each and acquitted one. According to case statement, the convicted people raped a housewife on December 22 night in 2014. Victim’s husband filed a case on December 29 of same year. Police later submitted charge sheet on May 31, 2015.
