650 phensedyl bottles seized from Benapole

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members have seized 650 bottles of contraband phensedyl during a raid along the Benapole border.

The contraband was found in Shikri village in the early hours of Saturday, BGB 49 battalion camp commander Subedar Abdul Wahab said. 

A BGB team, led by Nayeb Subedar Abul Kashem, raided the village after being tipped off about the smuggling of a huge consignment of drugs from India through the Benapole border.

The smugglers fled but left behind several sacks filled with phensedyl.
