Another person, who was injured in the collision between a bus and a human hauler on the Natore-Pabna highway, has died. The death toll has now reached 15.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been ascertained.
Bonpara highway police Officer-in-Charge (OC) GM Shamsur Nur confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune on Sunday morning.
He said: “The passenger died while undergoing treatment at a local hospital late at night [Saturday night].”
A total of 15 people were killed and 14 others injured in Saturday’s collision. Later in the evening, a three-member committee was formed to probe the accident.
Confirming the matter, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shahina Khatun said: “The committee has been asked to submit their report within seven days.”
