Myanmar helicopter violates Bangladesh’s airspace

A helicopter from Myanmar has violated the Bangladeshi airspace in Alikadam upazila of Banbarban. 

The incident happened on Friday around 10 in the morning, reports Bangla Tribune. The helicopter came 1.5km into Bangladesh’s airspace.

The authorities have not provided any other description of the aircraft.

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Bandarban Sector Commander Col Iqbal Hossain said: “The helicopter entered 1.5km into Alikadam upazila’s Kurukpata union’s Yangring area.”

“The matter will be officially protested,” he said.
