Suspected criminal killed in Munshiganj ‘gunfight’

A suspected criminal has been killed in an alleged gunfight with police in Munshiganj's Boikhor. Police said Shahjalal Miji was accused in several cases. Munshiganj Police Superintendent Jayedul Alam said a police team conducted a drive on Sunday night with Shahjalal to recover arms. "As soon as they approached the area, Shahjalal’s cohorts opened fire on fire and tried to snatch him away. Shahjalal died in the ensuing gunfight," he claimed. Police said they recovered two foreign pistols and locally made firearms from the spot.
