Family allegedly commits suicide in Munshiganj

Three members of a family have allegedly killed themselves by taking poison at Sreedharpur village in Sreenagar upazila of Munshiganj on Wednesday night. The deceased were identified as fish trader Md Momin, 50, his wife Lubna, 44, and their daughter Sanzida, 9. SM Alamgir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Sreenagar police station, said police personnel were sent to the location to recover the bodies once information regarding the deaths was received. Baroikhali Union Parishad member Elias Miah said the family killed themselves by taking poison around 7:30pm, but the motives behind the suicides are yet to be known.
