A 13-year-old Bangladeshi boy from Comilla has won the 25th International Hifzul Quran competition in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for the third time.
Abdullah Al Mamun from Muradnagar upazila represented Bangladesh in the competition organised by King Abdulaziz Al Saud.
A total of 73 countries participated in the completion.
Mamun’s father, Abdul Bashar and the locals of Hirakanda village have been celebrating his victory.

Abdul Bashar said: “Mamun has not only made Hirakanda proud but the whole nation.”
Mamun, a student of Tahfizul Quran Was Sunnah Madrasa in Dhaka’s Jatrabari area, competed in three other international Hifzul Quran competitions.
He won the first position among contestants from 55 countries at the International Hifzul Quran Competition in Cairo, Egypt, and at the International Hifzul Quran Competition in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in July 2014.
In 2016, he ranked second at the 20th International Quran Competition held in Dubai.
