Three killed in 3 districts

In JessoreA youth was killed in a gunfight between two robber gangs in Kholadanga area of the district town, reports our correspondent. The deceased was Jahangir, 32, son of Nowsher, a resident of Shantola area. Md Ilius, OC of Kotowali police station, said on information that a gunfight ensued between two robber gangs, a team of police conducted a drive in the area around 1.45am. Sensing the presence of police, the members of both the gangs fled away. Later, police rescued Jahangir with bullet injuries at his head. The injured was taken to Jessore General Hospital where doctor declared him dead.In SirajganjAccording to reports of our correspondent, a man was beaten to death allegedly by his three brothers-in-law over family feud at Chandangati Dakkhinpara village in Belkuchi upazila. The deceased was Abu Taleb, 46, son of Gafur Molla, a resident of the village. OC of Belkuchi police station Sajjad Hossain said three brothers Uzzal, Saudagor and Saddam beat up their bother-in-law Abu Taleb mercilessly following a family feud in the morning, leaving him critically injured. Locals rescued Taleb and took him to a local hospital where doctors declared him dead.In GaibandhaA woman was killed by his ex-husband, also a BGB member, at Gobindaganj upazila in Gaibandha district, said our correspondent. The deceased was Shammi Akter Brishti,25, daughter of Jahurul Islam at Purbapara village. The father of the victim said Shammi had been married off with Shafi Sarkar, son of  Abduzabbar of Sarkarpara village three years back. After 1.5-year of the marriage,  Shafi divorced Shammi and after-wards she was staying with her family members. Shammi also filed a case over the divorce and the case was under proceeding. On the day,  Shafi called Shammi over cell phone and she went to meet him at his home. Later, her body was found near a railway in the area. On information, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue, said Ataur Rahman, OC of Bonarpara Railway police station.
