Heart patients can be cured without surgery, according to Dr Bimal Chhajer, India's famous cardiologist and lifestyle expert.
"Fifteen to twenty percent of people in Bangladesh suffer from heart disease. Heart attacks cause the death of more than half of people of various ages. However, it is possible to prevent and cure heart disease without any kind of operation or surgery. It is crucial to understand the prevention and treatment of heart disease. Thousands of people are recovering through the Science and Art of Living (SAAOL) treatment methods," he said.
He made these remarks as the main speaker at a day-long seminar titled “Heart Attack Prevention and Treatment Without Stents, Without Surgery.” SAAOL Heart Centre(BD) Limited organized the 19th National SAAOL Heart and Lifestyle Seminar.
Dr Bimal believes that the further people move away from nature, the more diseases, including heart disease, will take root in their bodies.
He said: "The less damage to the body, the better. Once a leaf is removed from a tree, it cannot be reattached. It is not possible to transplant exactly the same body part. The increasing number of heart patients each year is not a sign of success but rather a sign of failure. If everyone is aware and follows the guidelines for heart disease, it is possible to bring the death rate from heart attacks to zero. The risk of heart disease can be reduced through physical care, including exercise and dietary changes in our daily lives."
Speaking as the chief guest at the seminar, Hossain Zillur Rahman, advisor to the former caretaker government, said: "Despite various discriminations, we have united in facing this illness, especially heart disease. This disease is spreading silently among us. Due to various factors, including diet and lack of awareness about health, heart disease affects everyone, young and old. However, it is possible to stay free from this disease by following a few simple habits. SAAOL has been working in Bangladesh for 23 years."
Mohan Raihan, founder and chairman of Saaol Heart Center (BD) Ltd, a pioneer of the health movement and the introducer of the first non-surgical treatment of heart disease in Bangladesh, said: "Dr Bimal Chhajer's book 'Simple Five Steps to Get Rid of Heart Disease' radically changed my life. I returned to Bangladesh and cured myself using the SAAOL method. Later, I contacted Dr Bimal Chhajer and brought him to Bangladesh. In 2009, SAAOL's journey in Bangladesh began with high-interest loans. Our main goal is to raise awareness among people of all classes and professions to avoid the risk of heart disease so that the heart does not die."
The program, chaired by former Member of Parliament Nurul Islam Moni, was coordinated by Chairman of Saaol Heart Center (BD) Ltd., Mohan Raihan. Advisor to the former caretaker government Hossain Zillur Rahman spoke as the chief guest. Special guests included former VP of DAKSU Akhtaruzzaman MP, Chairman of NBR Abu Hena Md. Rahmatul Munim, former health secretary and writer Hosain Abdul Mannan, and Health and Hope Hospital chairman Dr. Lelin Chowdhury.
From 11:00am to 1:30pm, the first part of Dr. Bimal Chhajer's lecture took place. After the lunch break, Dr. Bimal Chhajer resumed speaking until 5:00 pm. He then answered hundreds of questions for about an hour.
Yoga training was provided by Kushal Roy Joy after the question and answer session. Dr Bimal Chhajer also taught oil-free cooking after the yoga session.
The Science and Art of Living (SAAOL) treatment method was invented by America's renowned cardiologist and lifestyle expert Dr Dean Ornish. Dr Bimal Chhajer has been working to spread this method in South Asia.
In 2009, this treatment method was introduced in Bangladesh by poet Mohan Raihan, who founded Saaol Heart Center (BD) Ltd., a branch of the international organization 'Saaol Heart Centre.' This organization provides permanent treatment for heart disease “without stents and without surgery” through 132 branches worldwide, including in Bangladesh and India.
