Health Bondhu holds conference on digital healthcare ecosystem

Health Bondhu has held a conference on “Creating A Digital Healthcare Ecosystem'” for the first time.

It was held at the BSSF Convention Hall at Gulshan Shooting Club in the capital on Friday, says a press release. 

The inaugural speaker of the conference was Prof Dr Habibe Millat, member of Parliament for Sirajganj-2 constituency.  

He said: "Health Bondhu is embarking on a journey as the largest digital healthcare aggregator platform in Bangladesh where all healthcare institutions can be found under one umbrella. I believe this initiative will contribute to the implementation of digital healthcare exclusively."

Former minister for Health and Family Welfare Prof Dr AFM Ruhul Haque addressed the event as the chief guest and formally unveiled the Health Bondhu mobile app which is now available for download at Google playstore.

He referred to the conference as the milestone of digital healthcare in Bangladesh. "In order to build a digital Bangladesh, the health system, like everything else, needs to be fully digitalized.”

Prof Dr ABM Abdullah, personal physician of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, said: "The problem of healthcare is not only in Bangladesh but in many countries of the world.  Only then the purpose will be served if, through this app digital, healthcare is reached to the marginalized people of Bangladesh.”

Meanwhile, at the event, Health Bondhu awarded 10 individuals and organizations for their contribution to the country's health sector.
