Sylhet division recorded 702 Covid positive cases in the last 24 hours between Sunday and Monday mornings.
At least 17 people died during the same period.
The Sylhet Health Services Division said in a bulletin on Monday that some 2,139 samples from around the division were tested and 32.82% of them resulted positive – taking the total number of cases to 45,684.
Four of the total deaths were reported at Sylhet MAG Osmani Hospital, 12 in Sylhet, and one each in Sunamganj and Moulvibazar – taking the division’s total death toll to 805.
In the last 24 hours, 93 people were also hospitalized around the division.
Currently, 478 Covid-19 patients are undergoing treatment at the hospitals.
With the 470 new recoveries in the past 24 hours, a total of 33,530 Covid-19 patients have recovered in the division.
