BBS director dies of Covid-19

A director of Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) has died of Covid-19 at a Dhaka hospital.

The deceased Jafar Ahmed Khan, director (computer wing) of the BBS, got infected with coronavirus in recent days, said Shahed Rahman, senior information officer of Planning Ministry, reports UNB.

He passed away at 7:55pm on Saturday while undergoing treatment at Sarkari Karmachari Hospital in capital.

Jafar Ahmed had joined the government service through 9th BCS examination.
