The daily percentage of suspected Covid-19 patients testing positive continue to remain over 20% in Bangladesh.
The daily percentage of people testing Covid-19 positive in the country was 21.13% on Monday.
It was 20.88% on Sunday, 21.10% on Saturday and 20.07% on Friday.
Till May 24, the positive percentage in Bangladesh was below 20%.
A total of 12 days out of last 15 witnessed test positivity percentage rate of over 20%.
The daily percentage of people testing positive for Covid-19 in Bangladesh had reached an all-time high last Tuesday, with nearly 23% of the total number of samples tested coming back positive in a day.
Until Monday noon, the country recorded 68,504 Covid-19 cases and 930 deaths.
Covid-19, a severe acute respiratory illness caused by a new coronavirus strain named Sars-CoV-2, became a global pandemic in less than three months after it originated from China’s Wuhan city in late December last year.
