Dr Anisuzzaman Chowdhury has been appointed a special assistant to the chief adviser with the rank of a state minister.
According to a notification issued on Monday, he will be responsible for overseeing the Ministry of Finance.
The notification further says that Anisuzzaman has been granted executive authority over the Ministry of Finance.
During his tenure as special assistant, he will be entitled to the rank, salary, allowances, and other privileges of a state minister, as stated in the notification.
