The 43rd Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) preliminary examination, which was scheduled for August 6, has been postponed to October 15.
The deadline for application submission for the examination has been extended as well - till June 30.
Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) issued a press statement on Monday, announcing the new dates.
The press statement further said the 43rd BCS exam would be held between 10am and 12pm on October 15 in eight divisional centres.
The applications will be accepted till 6pm on June 30, said the handout, signed by Ishrat Sharmin, public relation officer of PSC.

The test takers can pay the test fee of Tk700 through SMS using a Teletalk mobile number in the next 72 hours.
Earlier on January 27, the deadline for applying for the 43th BCS exam was extended to March 31 from January 31.
The viva voce of the 40th BCS exam has been postponed due to the recent spike in Covid-19 infections, and the results for the 42nd BCS exams are out.
The decision came at a special meeting of the PSC on Monday.
