Indian High Commission warns against visa touts

The Indian High Commission in Dhaka has urged people to remain alert to unauthorized visa agents and warned against falling for false promises of guaranteed visas, fast processing and confirmed appointment slots.

In a notice, the high commission said visa touts make various false promises that could cause people to lose their money, visas and valuable time.

It advised applicants not to hand over money, documents or personal information to unauthorized agents.

The high commission particularly urged those seeking transit visas to apply directly through the official visa process.

“Stay alert. Stay safe,” it said.
