The Bangladesh home minister has held a meeting with the president of the International Criminal Police Organization, commonly known as Interpol, in Dubai.
Asaduzzaman Khan had the discussion with Major General Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi on Wednesday, according to a press release by the home ministry.
During the meeting, the Interpol president praised Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for keeping a tight rein on militancy and terrorist activities in Bangladesh.
He also expressed his firm commitment to standing by Bangladesh in counter-terrorism efforts, including training of law enforcement agencies and exchange of intelligence.
