State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam has said a contract was signed between Bangladesh and Japan to hire skilled Bangladeshi workers, including doctors and engineers, from April next.
He was addressing as the chief guest a fresher’s reception at Araihazar upazila’s Government Safar Ali College on Monday, reports BSS.
Urging all intending individuals to make themselves eligible in line with the curriculum of the Japanese government, he advised to go to Japan in a legal way. He also asked the students to learn the Japanese language, and to avoid any cycle of brokers.
In his speech, the state minister said: “The Japanese government is building an EPZ in the Satgram area … The EPZ will create work opportunities for the people.”
He also called for setting up a school to teach Japanese in Araihazar upazila.
The program was presided over by Prof Shahin Sultana of Govt Safar Ali College.
Local member of the parliament Nazrul Islam Babu, Upazila Chairman Muzahidur Rahman Sarkar and UNO Sohag Hosan, among others, were also present at the program.
