The written test for the selection round of Independent Television's quiz show “Bangladesh Jiggasha” will be held on Friday, October 5.
The announcement was made by Independent Television Assignment Editor Parvez Khan in a press briefing at a Sylhet hotel on Wednesday. IFIC Bank official Harun-Or-Rashid, and Independent Television Sylhet Bureau In-Charge Manzoor Ahmad were also present at the briefing, among others.
The written test will be held in all eight divisions of the country, and the same question paper will be used for all participants. The tests will begin at 4pm on Friday.
In Sylhet, the test will be held at the Bangladesh Bank School in the suburbs of Sylhet city. It will be held at the Civil Aviation High School and College in Dhaka, Collegiate School and College in Chittagong, Residential Model High School and College in Rajshahi, Pioneer Girls High School in Khulna, Brojmohun School in Barisal, Rangpur Zilla School in Rangpur, and Mukul Niketon High School in Mymensingh.
The results of the written test will be broadcast on Independent Television at 8pm on Friday. Those selected to participate in the competition will be contacted separately.
The winner of Bangladesh Jiggasha will receive Tk1 crore in prize money. The first runner up will receive Tk25 lakhs, second runner up will receive Tk15 lakh, and the third runner up will receive Tk5 lakh.
Furthermore, all participants will be given Tk25-50,000, even if they are not selected for the main event. The total prize pool is Tk1.7 crore.
IFIC Bank is financing the competition, while Expert Provider is in charge of event management.
Bangladesh Jiggasha will be broadcast on Independent Television at 10pm every Friday and Saturday from October 12.
