Reza Kibria: Go for family outing on January 7

Gono Odhikar Parishad Convenor Reza Kibria has urged the public to spend quality time with their families on January 7, emphasizing that there won't be any actual voting on that day.

These remarks were made during a protest rally organized by Gono Odhikar Parishad (Reza Kibria) in front of the Jatiya Press Club on Saturday morning, demanding a boycott of the voting on January 7.

Kibria expressed concern that the government is orchestrating a theatrical event under the guise of voting, and he called on the people not to participate in this “charade”.

He warned against intimidation by the government and bureaucrats, emphasizing that if people succumb to such pressure, the outcome will not be favourable.

Following the rally, members and activists of the Gono Odhikar Parishad (Reza Kibria) distributed leaflets in the Paltan area, echoing the call for a voting boycott.

Faruq Hasan, the acting member secretary of Gono Odhikar Parishad (Reza Kibria), said that no one should go to the polling station on January 7 and encouraged showing a “red card” to the government. He declared a refusal to cooperate with the current government, citing a lack of moral foundation.
