Popular YouTuber Ashraful Hossen Alom alias Hero Alom has decided not to contest the 12th national parliamentary election, after getting back his candidacy just a few days ago.
He announced his decision to withdraw his candidacy on his verified Facebook page late on Wednesday.
He will withdraw his candidacy on December 17, reads the post.
Hero Alom on November 30 confirmed he had submitted his nomination form to participate in the 12th national parliamentary election from Bogra-4 (Kahalu-Nandigram).
The returning officer for the area, Deputy Commissioner Saiful Islam, cancelled his candidacy as he could not fill out the nomination form properly.
He appealed to the Election Commission on December 6 to get back his candidacy. Later. the commission on December 10 declared his candidacy valid.
