YouTuber Ashraful Hossen Alom, popularly known as Hero Alom, on Thursday got back his candidature for Dhaka-17 by-polls.
He will now be able to compete for the election as the Election Commission (EC) declared his nomination paper valid after a hearing.
Ashok Kumar Debnath, Additional Secretary of the commission, confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune.
Besides, Zaker Party candidate Kazi Mohammad Rashidul Hasan also got back his candidacy.
On Sunday, The EC scrapped the nomination paper of Hero Alom.
However, two other independent candidates Tariqul Islam Bhuiyan and Asaduzzaman Jalal did not get back their candidatures.
On June 15, MP aspirant Hero Alom submitted nomination papers to contest the Dhaka-17 by-elections, to be held on July 17.
