Balloting for District council polls in 57 districts began at 9am on Monday and will continue to 2pm across country.
The Voting is being held at 925 booths in 462 centres across the country and 60,866 voters will cast their votes.
There will be no voting in three districts in the Chittagong Hill Tracts while elections in Chapainawabganj and Noakhali have been suspended due to court orders.
On the other hand, all representatives of Feni and Bhola have been elected uncontested.

The Election Commission (EC) is set to monitor the polls across the country through CCTV cameras at the EC headquarters, just as they did during the recent by-polls to Gaibhanda-5 constituency.
According to EC sources, the entire election will be monitored with 1,396 cameras for 48 hours before and after the polls.

A few platoons of BGB, Costa Guard, and RAB mobile and striking forces have also been deployed.
On August 23, the Election Commission announced the schedule for the district council elections in Bangladesh, excluding the three hill districts.
