Several houses were vandalized and looted in Dharmapara and Pachpakiya villages of Shailkupa upazila in Jhenaidah district on Sunday night.
According to local sources, supporters of Awami League candidate, Advocate Abdur Rashid, attacked the houses of independent candidate GM Rashidul Alam's supporters Liton Hossain, Tentu Mia, Ishak Ali, Channu Mia, and Dildar Hossain, after the polls in Dharmapara.
They looted valuables from the houses, sources said.
Later, supporters of GM Rashidul vandalised the houses of Abdur Rashid's supporters Ayub Ali, Momrez Ali, Wahed Ali, and Uzir Ali at Pachpakiya village.
Additional Superintendent of Police, Mirza Saleh Uddin, said two people were held in connection with the incident.
