Election Commissioner Mahbub Talukder—who was embroiled in a squabble with his boss, earlier this week, over the state of the electoral environment—hit back sharply, on Wednesday, saying Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Nurul Huda’s remarks have hurt the sentiments, and the very existence, of the Election Commission.
“I strongly condemn his comments! He must remember that the chief and other election commissioners are equal,” Commissioner Talukder told reporters, whom he had invited to his office to inform about his side of the story.
