American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) participated in the QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific 2026, held from November 3-5 at the Bali International Convention Centre in Indonesia.
The summit, themed “Advancing Education for Purpose and Impact,” brought together higher education leaders, policymakers and academic professionals from around the world.
The AIUB delegation included Founder Member and Vice Chairman Ishtiaque Abedin, Board of Trustees member Dr Carmen Z Lamagna, Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Saiful Islam, Senior Assistant Professor Carlin Noelle Zita Lamagna, Director of Ranking and Global Engagement Mashiour Rahman, and Head of Public Relations Md Abu Mia Akhanda.
Participating as part of the Bangladesh Pavilion, AIUB joined other Bangladeshi institutions in presenting the country's higher education sector to international delegates.
During the summit, the delegation met with QS officials to discuss preparations for an upcoming QS event in Bangladesh, which AIUB is scheduled to host.
The delegation also held discussions with representatives of universities and educational organizations on potential academic partnerships, research collaboration, and faculty and student exchange programs.
