Admission test dates and schedules for seven public universities for the 2026-27 academic year have been announced.
The universities are Dhaka University (DU), Rajshahi University (RU), Jagannath University (JnU), Chittagong University (CU), Khulna University (KU), Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (Kuet), and the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST).
Admission tests at DU, KU and MIST will be held in December, while tests at RU, JU, CU and Kuet will take place in January and February 2027.
Dhaka University
DU’s admission tests will begin on December 5 with the IBA unit examination. The "A" unit test will be held on December 12, the "B" unit on December 19, the Fine Arts unit on December 22 and the "C" unit on December 26.
Online applications can be submitted from November 11 to 25.
Rajshahi University
RU’s admission tests will begin on January 8 with the "B" unit examination. The "C" unit test is scheduled for January 9 and the "A" unit for January 16.
The preliminary application process will run from November 12 to 27.
To ease the burden on candidates, the university has decided to hold the admission tests in seven divisional cities — Dhaka, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, Chittagong, Sylhet and Mymensingh.
Jagannath University
JnU’s admission tests will begin on January 1, 2027, with the "A" unit examination. The "E" unit test will be held on January 8, the "B" unit on January 15, the "C" unit on January 22 and the "D" unit on January 23.
Applications will open at noon on November 15 and remain open until 11:59pm on December 10.
Chittagong University
CU’s admission tests will begin on January 29 with the "C" unit examination.
The "A" unit test will be held on January 30, followed by the "B1" sub-unit on February 3, "B2" on February 4, "B" on February 5, "D" on February 6 and "D1" on February 8.
The "B1", "B2" and "D1" sub-unit examinations will be held on the CU campus. Tests for the other units will be held at CU, DU and RU campuses.
Online applications can be submitted from November 15 to December 10.
Khulna University
KU’s admission tests will be held on December 17 and 18. The "C" and "D" unit examinations will be held on December 17, while the remaining examinations will be held on December 18.
The university authorities said detailed schedules and other instructions will be announced in a subsequent notice.
Kuet
The first-year undergraduate admission test at Kuet for the 2026-27 academic year will be held on January 8.
To ease candidates’ travel burden, the university will hold the test simultaneously in three divisional cities — Khulna, Dhaka and Rajshahi.
MIST
MIST’s admission tests will be held on December 18 and 19. The "C" unit examination will be held on the morning of December 18, while the "A" and "B" unit examinations will be held on December 19.
The latest notices issued by the respective universities will be considered final regarding applications, schedules and other admission-related information. In cases where detailed or final admission notices have not yet been issued, any changes made in subsequent notices will take effect.
