KU admission tests set for Dec 17-18, KUET on Jan 8

Khulna University (KU) will hold admission tests for first-year undergraduate (honors) courses for the 2026-27 academic year on December 17 and 18 next.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the university’s Central Admission Committee on Thursday, according to a notification signed by the university’s acting Registrar Prof Dr SM Mahbubur Rahman.

According to the notification, the admission tests for “C” and “D” units will be held on December 17.

The “C” unit covers disciplines under the Schools of Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, Law, Education and Fine Arts.

The “D” unit includes disciplines under the School of Management and Business Administration.

The tests for “A” and “B” units will be held on December 18.

The “A” unit covers disciplines under the School of Science, Engineering and Technology, while the “B” unit includes disciplines under the School of Life Sciences.

Meanwhile, Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) will hold its first-year admission test for the 2026-27 academic year on January 8, 2027.

The test is for admission to BSc Engineering, BURP and B Arch programs.

To ease transportation and accommodation problems for students from different parts of the country, KUET has decided to hold the admission test at centers in three divisional cities – Khulna, Dhaka and Rajshahi.

The decision was taken following discussions on undergraduate admissions at the 118th special meeting of KUET’s Academic Council held on Thursday, university sources said.

The admission test will be held under the multiple-choice question (MCQ) system.

An admission test committee has already been formed to ensure the smooth conduct of the examination, the sources added.
