A total of 669 of 30,402 educational institutions achieved a 100% pass rate in this year’s SSC and equivalent examinations, accounting for just 2.2% of all institutions, according to the results published on Monday.
The number marks a significant decline from last year, when 984 institutions recorded a 100% pass rate.
Overall, the pass rate this year stood at 62.25%, down 6.20% points from 68.45% in 2025.
The number of GPA-5 achievers also fell, with 116,676 students securing the top grade this year compared to 139,032 last year — a decline of 22,356.
Education Minister Dr ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon formally inaugurated the publication of the results at the Education Ministry’s conference room at 10am on Monday. The chairmen of all education boards handed over the results to the minister at the event.
