ULAB, Chinese university sign MoU to strengthen academic cooperation

University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Jiangxi Science and Technology Normal University (JXSTNU), China, on Monday, to strengthen academic cooperation, scholarly interaction, cultural exchange, and collaborative research between the two institutions.

The MoU establishes a framework for mutual cooperation through scholarly interaction, cultural exchange, collaborative research and development, academic and student exchange programs, and other forms of academic collaboration.

Shen Guihua, director of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange, signed the MoU on behalf of Jiangxi Science and Technology Normal University, while Professor Shamsad Mortuza, PhD, vice chancellor of ULAB, signed the agreement on behalf of the university.

The Jiangxi Science and Technology Normal University delegation included Tong Zhineng, deputy dean of the School of Civil Engineering, and Zhou Xiaoting, associate professor at the School of Civil Engineering.

The ULAB delegation included Professor Jude William Genilo, PhD, pro vice chancellor; Professor Milan Kumar Bhattacharjee, PhD, special advisor to the Board of Trustees and treasurer; Lt Col Md Foyzul Islam (Retd), registrar; deans of various faculties; faculty members; and heads of different administrative offices.

The signing ceremony marked another step toward strengthening institutional ties between the two universities, creating new opportunities for students, faculty members, and researchers through enhanced academic and research collaboration.
