The results of this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations will be published on August 10, the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee announced on Monday.
In a notification, the committee said the results will be published simultaneously across the country. Detailed instructions on how students can access their results will be issued later.
Earlier, the committee had said it was unable to publish the results on the initially planned date due to administrative work related to the ongoing Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations and delays in completing result processing.
On July 22, Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee President Professor Syed Akhtaruzzaman said preparations would be completed by July 27 or 28 and that the results would be published once the ministry fixed the date.
Dhaka Education Board Examination Controller Professor Jasmine Taslima Banu had also indicated at the time that publication of the results could take another eight to 10 days.
Previously, Education and Primary and Mass Education Adviser ANM Ehsanul Haque had announced at a press conference on June 8 that the results would be published on July 20.
This year's SSC, Dakhil and SSC (Vocational) examinations began on April 21, with 1,857,344 candidates participating under the country's nine general education boards, the Madrasa Education Board and the Technical Education Board.
Of the total candidates, 930,305 were male, and 927,039 were female.
Among them, 1,418,398 candidates sat for the SSC examinations under the nine general education boards, 304,286 appeared in the Dakhil examinations under the Madrasa Education Board, and 134,660 took the SSC (Vocational) examinations under the Technical Education Board.
The examinations were held at 3,885 centres across 30,666 educational institutions nationwide.
