BUFT hosts Spring 2026 orientation program

BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) organized an orientation program on Wednesday to welcome newly admitted students for the Spring 2026 semester at its permanent campus auditorium in Nishatnagar, Turag, Dhaka.

The program was presided over by Faruque Hassan, chairman of the Board of Trustees of BUFT.

Touhid Bin Abdus Salam, managing director of Classical Handmade and a BUFT alumnus, and Alamgir Kabir, CEO of Kaiser Bekleidungs GmbH and a BUFT alumnus, attended as guests of honor.

In his welcome address, Vice Chancellor (Designate) Prof Dr Engr Ayub Nabi Khan greeted the freshers and encouraged them to embrace both the challenges and opportunities of their academic journey at BUFT.

Acting Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Md Alamgir Hossain delivered the vote of thanks.

Deans of the Faculty of Fashion Studies, Faculty of Business Studies, Faculty of Arts & Social Science, Faculty of Engineering Studies, Faculty of Sciences and Textile Engineering, and Faculty of Apparel Studies addressed the students.

One newly admitted student and one current student also shared their aspirations and experiences.

The event was attended by the registrar, controller of examinations, chief financial officer, director of public relations, director of planning and development, director of BUFT, heads of various departments, librarian, faculty members, officials, students, and their guardians.
