Minister directs authorities to ensure cheating-free SSC exams

Education Minister Dr ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon has issued strict directives to ensure that the SSC and equivalent examinations 2026 are conducted in a fair, transparent, and cheat-free manner.

He gave these instructions on Tuesday during a meeting with the chairpersons of all education boards and senior ministry officials at the Ministry of Education conference room.

State Minister for Education, Bobby Hajjaj, was present at the meeting as a special guest.

At the meeting, the minister reviewed preparations for the SSC and equivalent exams 2026 and ordered a fresh review of risky centers. He directed strict action against cheating, including new laws to prevent digital fraud, mandatory body searches of examinees, and a stronger role for teachers in preventing malpractice.

The minister further warned that if any exam questions or related content are uploaded to social media or online platforms during the examination period, legal action will be taken against those involved.

He said the exam system must change to build a merit-based nation, with no more “auto pass.” He also called for ending average marks in practical exams and ensuring proper evaluation.

The minister warned that exam center authorities will be held responsible if cheating materials are found anywhere, even in toilets. Motivational meetings will also be held nationwide to strengthen anti-cheating efforts.

He also mentioned plans to establish district schools in districts where none currently exist. These district schools will operate from Grade 1 to Grade 12, following a higher secondary school model, which he said will help strengthen and better integrate the country’s education system.
