CU students told to remove belongings from dorms

The authorities of Chittagong University (CU) have instructed students currently residing in the dormitories to remove their belongings before the allocation of new seats.

They will be allowed to collect their items between 10am and 5pm from Thursday to Sunday, according to an urgent notice issued on Wednesday.

The notice says all residents of Chittagong University’s dormitories and the Artist Rashid Chowdhury Hostel must remove all their belongings from their assigned rooms, or the rooms they most recently occupied, within the designated time slots.

It adds that students will need to present their university-issued ID cards and seat allocation documents to the hall or hostel administration when retrieving their items. A list of the items removed must be submitted to the administration.

Additionally, the notice says if students fail to remove their belongings by the specified dates, the hall or hostel administration will not be held responsible for any losses or damages. No items will be handed over to representatives on behalf of students.
