In-person classes at secondary schools in the country will likely resume at full capacity from the middle of March, Education Minister Dipu Moni said on Friday.
She also said the government is working on developing a national policy on blended learning while speaking with reporters after a program in Dhaka.
Regarding the medical admission test this year, the minister said: "The authorities should hold this year's admission test in accordance with the new syllabus used for the HSC exams.”
On February 22, in-person lessons at secondary schools and colleges across the country resumed partially, but only for students who had received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.
Classes and other academic activities at universities also resumed on the same day.
The government had initially shut all educational institutions in light of the Covid-19 pandemic on March 17, 2020.
They were reopened on September 12 last year.
Then following a sharp rise in infections, the government again shut down all schools and colleges for two weeks from January 21.
All educational institutions except primary schools resumed classes on February 22. Primary schools reopened on March 2.
