SSC: English Paper I question allegedly leaked

A set of English Paper I questions in the ongoing Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exams has been allegedly leaked. The allegation follows claims that Bangla Papers I and II questions were also leaked since the exams began on Thursday. The English Paper I test was held between 10am and 1pm on Monday across the country. However, the "Ka" set of English Paper I was reportedly leaked at 8:04am, two hours before the exam started, to a group named “English 1st part 2018” on smartphone message application WhatsApp. Soon, it spread to other social network platforms such as Facebook. It was later found to be exactly the same as the question paper used for Monday's exam. A Facebook user also claimed to be in possession of the question paper for the English Paper I at 11:44pm on Sunday. Examinations Controller of Dhaka education board Tapon Kumar Sarkar said: “This is the first time that I have heard about English Paper I being leaked. We, alongside the Ministry of Education, are looking into this issue.” Previously, the "Kha" set of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) of both Bangla Paper I and Paper II were leaked on Facebook an hour before the examinations were held on Thursday and Saturday, respectively.   This article was first published on banglatribune.com
