Police recovered a cocktail from a rickshaw in front of Panthakunja Park in the capital’s Karwan Bazar area around 1:15pm on Thursday.
According to locals, the explosive was spotted in a rickshaw parked near the Banglavision office. Police were later informed from the area in front of the Karwan Bazar Saarc Fountain.
Upon receiving the information, the bomb disposal unit arrived at the scene and safely detonated the cocktail inside Panthakunja Park after 1:30pm.
When asked about the incident, Kalabagan police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Monirul Islam said" “I am not aware of the matter yet. I will be able to confirm details after visiting the spot.”
