Mohammad Imran Hossain, the chairman of Sadeeq Agro in Dhaka’s Mohammadpur, has been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in a case filed over the laundering of Tk133 crore.
CID Special Superintendent of Police Jasim Uddin Khan confirmed the arrest on Monday morning in a press release.
According to the CID press release, Imran Hossain, the owner of Sadeeq Agro, was arrested as an accused in the case.
Further details regarding the matter will be disclosed in a press conference on Tuesday.
Imran first gained public attention selling "high-breed" goats.
