An investigation committee has been formed following commotion and unrest in front of Sabyasachi publication's stall at the Amar Ekushey Boi Mela over the presence of Taslima Nasrin’s book.
Selim Reza, secretary of the Bangla Academy and head of the Book Fair Task Force Committee, confirmed the information on Tuesday.
He said a seven-member investigation committee has been formed regarding Monday’s incident.
The committee will submit its report within three days, after which a decision will be made.
On Monday, a group of individuals protested against the presence of books by exiled writer Taslima Nasrin at the Sabyasachi stall.
At the time, writer Shatabdi Vobo faced public outrage.
Subsequently, the stall was temporarily closed.
Although the Bangla Academy later announced that the stall would be reopened, it was still found closed on Tuesday afternoon.
