Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) has requested the public to avoid the Gulshan-2 area in Dhaka, on Sunday.
This request was made in a notice signed by Mohammad Aftab Hossain Khan, director of the DMTCL project, on Thursday.
The notice mentions that work is ongoing for the MRT Line-5 Northern Route, which includes both underground and elevated metro rail systems.
On Sunday, starting from 8:00am, the work for relocating service lines in the proposed route area near the Gulshan-2 (Gol Chattar) metro station will take place.
The notice further said that there is a possibility of traffic congestion in the lane heading towards Gulshan-2 intersection.
Therefore, the public is urged to leave early and use alternative routes if possible.
DMTCL also expressed regret for any temporary inconvenience caused.
