A woman was killed by a stray bullet fired by miscreants in Dhaka's Mirpur on Wednesday.
The deceased has been dentified as Ayesha Begum.
She was shot in the chest around 2pm and died on the spot.
Nazrul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Pallabi police station, confirmed the matter to the media.
The OC said the shooting was the result of a drug-related dispute.
Ayesha was not involved. She was simply a bystander who was tragically shot and killed, he added.
